you can use vst's on the samples from the pack... but you can't use outside instruments to create a sound....
basically... just use what's in the pack, nothing else

okay think I get it now. But does that mean I can or can't use the sampler for the samples in ableton?

you can... as long as you only use the sounds from the pack.... you can run those samples through whatever you want.. The point was to keep outside sounds/samples/instruments out of the contest.
